Today was Interesting

Well first of all I had tests in all my classes so that made a great start for my Friday(not really.)  Today was the last day of the 6-week grading period though, so it will good to see what my grades are when they come in the mail.

Alright so here is my story for the day...
First period I have math, which would actually be the last class I would choose to have in the morning, partly because I am still half asleep and I think my teacher may be too.  I really don't think my geometry teacher knows how to teach very well.  The reason for this is that the notes we give us come straight out of the book so she does not have to make up any problems, and even then, many of the problems she messes up and calls them a "math joke."  So pretty much when I go to do my homework I have to re-teach the lesson to myself because I just get really confused in class.  Oh and in my class many of the kids are messing around like throwing papers, moving each others desks, and other things.  The thing is, my teacher doesn't notice ANY of this.   When she sees something out of the corner of her eye, which is rarely, she asks what's going on and the class responds "oh its just a math joke."  Then her standard response is "Well I know that math is just so much fun you can't contain yourselves, but let's finish the notes."  So this is usually how the classroom goes.

Well today, we had a test in this class.  We usually review before the test, but since my teacher was gone the day before and didn't get to review with her other classes, she thought it would be unfair to review with us so we just started the test right away, much to my disappointment might I add.  Alright so I am almost done with my test and then the principal comes on over the loudspeaker and tells the school we are going into a lock down drill.  In case you don't know, for this drill the teacher is suppose to turn off the lights and lock the door, while the students hide somewhere in the classroom, and they use this for when creepers come onto the campus and well yeah.  So after that announcement(announcements, announcements, announcements huh!) my teacher says "Oh we don't have time to do this during the test, so just stay in your seats."  Then my teacher locks the door and turns off the lights, but unfortunately, I have a solar powered calculator. A little advice, NEVER by a solar powered calculator.  They are a pain to get to stay on in dim lighting.  Well to my luck, my calculator turns of when I have like 5 problems left of the test and I can't get very much farther without it.  So I just sit there waiting for the drill to be over and then I see my teacher walk over to the door and OPEN it. Yes, open it, and she just kinda stood there looking out.  Even though it's a drill, you are supposed to treat it like the real thing and NOT, I repeat NOT open the door.  During this drill, there are proctors walking around outside making sure all the classrooms have their lights off, doors locked, and they cannot see any students.  Well as my teacher opens the door a proctor walks by and asks, "What are you doing? I could have just shot you." and my teachers reaction, "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize."

Well of course she got the whole class's attention when my teacher opened the door, so when the proctor said that most of the class starts laughing, and the others are just thinking about how ridiculous this whole thing was.
I mean seriously?  I would think that a teacher would know not to open the door during that kind of situation.
yeah I know ridiculous that this is my story of the day, but that is usually how school days go.
